Inspiration Coaching

One of the most common question I am asked is “How you do come up with so many ideas?!”

My answer is always layered- I don’t know how not to come up with ideas – constantly… I have more ideas than time to make them… it has even been overwhelming at times!

Over 20 years working in the art industry I have had to strategize ways to develop my ideas, execute projects to completion, produce professional quality, finished artwork that is ready to display or install, promote and sell.

A few years ago, I realized that it had become this unintentional side note of my job as curator of The Ethel Curry Gallery as well as when hosting guests in my own studio, to constantly give advice and encouragement to visitors, fellow artists and patrons alike about how to increase their confidence, find inspiration, hone their skills and believe in themselves as creative beings.

Too often I hear people say “I wish I was creative… I don’t have a creative bone in my body” or “I like to make things, but I’m not very good at it”… or “I don’t know what I want to do.”

I found myself thinking, if only I could spend more time talking with these wonderful people and share my experience with them… maybe they would believe me when I say that ALL humans are creative! We all possess abilities in creative expression and how we do that is unique to each of us – which is effing cool!

As a multidisciplinary artist, curator and highly sensitive person who has been through all the struggles of scraping my way up from a very modest and self-conscious existence-  I can relate to people from all walks of life. I can help them find their hidden artist’s voice, further develop the skills they are already aware of, discover new talents and strengths or up-level their creative business to become more fulfilling.

My coaching sessions are tailored to any experience level- from zilch to ages.

Group sessions are available for those who like the connection and comfort found in shared experience – to know they are not the only one who has felt insecure or unsure of themselves – and bounce ideas off one another in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Individual sessions are encouraged for those who like more one-on-one, personal guidance- tailored to their specific needs, wishes, dreams or goals.

Conversations about art and watching sparks of inspiration light up in people’s eyes bring me as much joy as making my own artwork.

In the two decades I’ve spent pursuing a creative life, I’ve had to overcome perfectionism, people pleasing, conflict avoidance, imposter syndrome, and good ol’ self-doubt. Obviously, I am human, and still struggle from time to time… but I’m better at tuning that garbage out so that I can carry on happily with my weirdo arty life.

I want you to feel liberated from those soul sucking thoughts too!

It will be my absolute pleasure to work with you through whatever creative roadblocks you’re up against.

Inspiration is everywhere. Making is limitless. It is all possible.
